SEA Games mascot Nila has been very busy recently.
The cuddly red lion mascot is trying to sell tickets.

He takes selfies, even though it’s quite difficult to get his whole head in.

Nila has had a colourful past - he was named after Sang Nila Utama and was a Hello Kitty during Singapore’s most recent kitty craze.
LOLz! :D RT @MCCYsg: We hear that Hello Kitty craze will be back, here is our version of @MascotNila Kitty. pic.twitter.com/kimSu9Vm2n — Nila (@MascotNila) April 27, 2014

We managed to catch Nila for an interview outside the National Stadium on Friday (June 12) . This isn’t the red lion’s first interview, however:
Guess who is getting interviewed? Does my hair look alright? 😄 #SG50 pic.twitter.com/5UdkZi5Gig

As you can see we had a hard time talking to him. Everyone wanted a piece of Nila. So here are his written responses (yes, he can write). 1. Do people hug you often? Nila: Yes, all the time. Because I am a cuddly lion :) 2. Does it get hot in your suit? Of course! I’m the warm and friendly lion. 3. What’s your shoe size?
Nila: 26.
4. Err... OK. How many times do you dye your hair in a day?
Nila: All the time, whenever I can. I want to make sure that I look impeccable when I meet my fans.
5. Is your suite sweet?
Nila: Very sweet!
6. OK. So we are all dying to know and here's the million-dollar question: Is Courtesy Lion your cousin?
Nila: Yup.
Wut?! Mind blown.
7. What about Merly and Lyo?
At this point, Nila was visibly irritated and wanted to walk away. But we managed to catch up with him.

Hopefully we’re still friends with Nila after this.
