Step aside Shentonista, WHAT AMOS WORE Tumblr is the newest, self-importantest, pretentiousest sartorial guide

Fashion is, like, everywhere, if you look hard enough, you can, like, find it in yourself. Ya.

In what can be described as showcasing and synthesising the Internet's best practices -- taking the piss while actually making a point -- a new Tumblr blog called WHAT AMOS WORE has been started for the sole purpose of waxing lyrical about the dressing of Amos Yee, the banana-eating boy with a sailor's mouth who is costing a lot of people a lot of bail money.

Besides, of course, making fun of all the fashionistas out there.

Mimicking the laboured yet frequently empty language of fashion scribes and meant to be read with a sense of irony and in the tone favoured by the self-important/ self-declared fashionable potentate who are known for their high and mighty exposition about what constitutes the height of fashion, WHAT AMOS WORE is a godsend for anyone who thinks differentiating between khakis and chinos is a waste of life.

Take for example this post:

Style icon Amos Yee enters the State Courts with his father for his pre-trial conference on April 17th in a safari-inspired ensemble. He paired a plain black t-shirt with rolled up sleeves with khaki shorts. His footwear of choice was black rubber shoes with a red accent trim, and continuing with the safari theme, he finished the look with a tan canvas utility bag.

What we love:

Safari is bang on trend but we would have really ran with the theme with a pair of Ray Ban aviators and a safari hat.

The red contrast sole lends the outfit a bit of pizzazz without being overly flamboyant.

Bananas are high in potassium, aid digestion and make the perfect tongue-in-cheek spring accessory.

Step aside Shentonista. WHAT AMOS WORE is the bona fide chronicler of the new flag-flying clotheshorse who is a real rebel with a cause -- Amos Yee is someone with street cred because he has actually been in remand.
