Did Rui En throw shade at Jeanette Aw at last night’s Star Awards?
Or was she trying to do a Cheon Song Yi?

In case you were watching Everton vs Manchester United (3-0 by the way) last night, you missed a weird thank you speech by actress Rui En at the second parter of the annual
bitch-fest popularity contest that is the Star Awards.
The 34-year-old – known for her icy and “I-don’t-give-two-flying-f****” persona – was one of the winners of the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artiste Award and besides shushing fans in her speech, she did this:
Rui En was saying that being happy/sociable/fake is not her strong suit.
A little bit of context here.
At the Star Awards first parter on April 20, Jeanette Aw was the big winner with six awards. Rui En, on the other hand, won zilch and looked like a million dollars on stage.
And here’s Jeanette Aw’s interview after the first parter.
Could it be that both actresses are contracted under Hype Records? After all, there’s only one Queen of Caldecott Hill.
Of course, Aw doesn’t own this particular style of laughter. For all we know, Rui En could be channeling her inner Cheon Song Yi (character from Korean drama My Love From Another Star played by Jun Ji-Hyun).
But what are the odds?
Here’s one netizen take’s on why Rui En laughed the way she did. With some editing. So bad.
