According to a 3 Feb report from Lianhe Zaobao, popular TV host Quan Yi Fong's daughter is set to be Apple's next brand ambassador in China.

Quan's daughter, 16-year-old Eleanor Lee, would be bagging an undisclosed six-figure sum for representing Apple.

Quan credits Lee's godfather, celebrity hairstylist Addy Lee, for sharing photographs of her daughter within his networks in China which helped Eleanor Lee garner attention in the Mainland.

Addy Lee shared that several variety shows in China, including popular singing competition The Voice China, had asked for Eleanor Lee to appear on their shows. However, Addy Lee cited Eleanor Lee's young age as a reason for turning down those requests.

Quan only agreed to let the younger Lee take up working with Apple China after she learnt that the company was planning to shoot a short film commercial and a production agency felt that Eleanor Lee may fit the lead actress role.

The film was a collaboration between Ann Hui, Christopher Doyle, and William Chang. The trio have over 20 Hong Kong Film Awards between them. Doyle is also a winner at Cannes.

Eleanor Lee had completed shooting the short film a week before Christmas in Shanghai last year. The commercial was launched on Apple's website in China two days ago.
