According to a Feb. 18 news report by The New Paper, the two editors of The Real Singapore (TRS) called in for questioning by the police were Ai Takagi, 22, and Robin Yang Kai Heng, 26. The pair were called in with regards to a potentially seditious article on Thaipusam published on TRS. They were photographed by TNP leaving the Police Cantonment Complex on Feb 17.

Takagi is believed to be a Japanese-Australian currently studying in Brisbane. Yang is a Singaporean who is also a student in Brisbane currently. They are a couple.

Takagi is believed to be a main contributor of articles on TRS while Yang handled the financials of the website.

TNP also reported that a third contributor is believed to be a Malaysian by the name of Melanie Tan who is also studying in Brisbane.

It is not known how TNP got the information on the contributors. However, there a blog - TRSexposed - which was set up in 2013, contains some information on Takagi, Yang and Tan which matches what was reported by TNP.

Below are two pictures from the TRSexposed blog (with some faces and details boxed out by Mothership.sg):

Now that their names are on the record, it is easier for people aggrieved by the website to bring civil suits against them.

With the introduction of the new protection from harassment law last year, aggrieved parties can also apply an order from the courts prohibiting the site from publishing offending materials about the victims.

Breaches of the order will result in penalties from fines not exceeding $5,000 to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or both.
