Recruits undergoing harsh Navy training in one of the toughest vocations in the military.
They are faced with trainers who are indifferent to their physical and mental anguish as the trainees get pushed to the brink.
All that training to prove their mettle somehow becomes worthwhile as things take a turn and events culminated in a real-world mission to fight terrorists.
That's the plot of G.I. Jane starring Demi Moore in 1997.
Which coincidentally is how the trailer plot for Jack Neo's latest Ah Boys To Men 3: The Frogmen looks like.

Uncanny similarities and typical Jack Neo slapstick skits aside, the official trailer has a smidgen of:
Topless guys
And a whole lot of tekan
1. Boat PT
2. Pushups
3. And just gallons of water
A lot of these footage looks authentic enough as they are shot in the Naval Diving Unit located in Sembawang Camp, some of which appear to be from Hell Week.
This was a semi-secretive facility that was once a restricted space carrying out tactical training activities off-limits to the general public where people in the know spoke of in hush hush tones.
But now it is blown wide open for all and sundry to gawk at.
Moive is out this Chinese New Year 2015.
Enjoy, all you sadists.
