An SMRT train announcer was having fun improvising while on the job at 8.45am on Dec. 4, 2014.
A commuter recorded the train announcement that came on when the train was travelling between Bishan and Ang Mo Kio towards Jurong East station.
In what appears to be an unscripted announcement that deviates heavily from the norm, the train announcer said:
As a gentle reminder, if you're planning to leave anything behind please make sure it’s something I can either use or sell. Otherwise, please remember to take all your belongings with you and watch your step when you leave the train.
The stop after Ang Mo Kio will be Yio Chu Kang.
Since it's a Thursday today, what you do today will determine if tomorrow will be a Thank Goodness It's Friday or Oh Goodness It's Friday.
With that in mind, in the meantime, have a pleasant day ahead, and hopefully tomorrow, will be a Thank Goodness It's Friday, for you.
Thank you very much for your kind attention.
Listen to how the impromptu announcement went:
And it sounded like at least one commuter was appreciative enough and tried to clap at the end.
