He is hospitalised for dengue.
In an Instagram post yesterday, Baey told his fans that he had been warded and his platelet count fell below the threshold on Sunday.
A dengue victim usually has a low blood platelet count.
According to the Ministry of Health, a normal platelet count ranges from 140,000 to 440,000 platelets in each microlitre of blood. Patients who have a rising platelet trend of above 70,000 can be discharged.
The 44-year old Tampines MP received nearly 250 messages from well-wishers online:

Baey added that he had to miss his Meet People Session yesterday but he hoped that he would recover in time for the opening night of his play Like Me.I Like on Dec 4.
Like Me . I Like Office is a play that highlighted the real life obsession of social media and its impact on the day-to-day interaction among people.
Produced and performed by Baey, all proceeds from the tickets will go to Hwa Chong Junior College Alumni Students Bursary Fund and Tampines North CCC Community Development & Welfare Fund.
