It all started when the National Workplace Happiness Survey 2014 found that Singaporeans in general were 'Under Happy'. It is a special place sandwiched between Unhappy and Happy.
It sounds really odd because before that survey, I think no Singaporean ever said that there were under happy.
I guess the other alternative to 'Under Happy' was 'So so lor' but that wouldn't have gone down well with the Speak Good English Movement.
And because of the incredulity of this new-found 'emotion', a Twitter hashtag #UnderHappy is currently trending in Singapore's Twitter-sphere. It was started by Mr Brown.
