Emeritus Senior Minister (ESM) Goh Chok Tong might have lost his ability to "break wind" temporarily after undergoing successful surgery for prostate cancer on Nov. 22, 2014.
However, this has not affected his quirky sense of humour.
On the MParader Facebook page, where ESM Goh tries to be your funny grandfather who thinks he's so uncool that it's actually cool by posting regular updates of his life, he kept his followers abreast of the latest developments of his, erm, prostate.
In his latest Facebook post, ESM Goh told his well-wishers that he was recovering well and shared that he had not "broken wind" yet.
He then went on to talk about how he had to wear a urine bag, which was really T.M.I.
Did he share too much because he is still high? Probably not. Because from a scan of his past Facebook postings, it is evident this is how Grandpa Goh normally behaves on Facebook.
So, here are 10 Facebook posts that showcases ESM Goh's brand of grandfather humour that also offers a glimpse into his strange world.
1. He is obsessed with his weight.
And faces the same weight challenges as food-loving S'poreans.
But throws "caution to the wind" to eat more like a true Singaporean.
2. Like many young people, he is insecure about his body.
3. He likes to play the "I-am-the-non-PM-Lee"
But he sure is not shy to tell us that he belongs to an exclusive club of three members.
4. He thinks he is damn punny.
Great shots, get it? Wink wink.
5. His nascent attempt at poetry. With humour.
"Slim as a pencil and fit as a fiddle.
Me? looking more like a paddle"
6. He can also take bo liao videos.
At least 215 people had wasted a minute of their lives watching a bird on a car.
7. And joke about his current job title.
8. Not only does he like to play with words, he thinks he is funny with acronyms too.
9. And he likes to remind you he is forgetful. How ironic.
10. Like many youngsters, he has dreams to be a superstar.
And like many youngsters, he can sometimes get too attached to himself.
