This couple from S'pore made a million bucks from special services performed by "performing artists"

Didn't know a performing artist perform that way.

In just four years from 2009 to 2013, Singaporean Ang Boon Seng and his wife Ylarde Anne Asuncion made a cool $1.08 million from their nine Orchard Road pubs.

The not so cool part? Some 40 per cent of the money was earned illegally by providing sexual services in the pubs.

Not by themselves, of course.

The 40-year-old Ang and his 31-year-old Singapore permanent resident wife, along with 17 other accomplices, procured women from the Philippines to offer sexual services such as oral sex and intercourse.

The 55 women were referred to as "performing artists" in their employment terms.

The Straits Times reported:

"Customers could obtain oral sex among other services inside the pubs, as long as they bought a certain number of overpriced "ladies drinks" - each costing $22 to $55. Customers could also pay a "bar fine" of at least $200 to take a woman out for activities, which usually included sexual intercourse, The New Paper reported."

It wasn't clear what else the performing artists did other than sexual services.

According to Ang, profits can hit $60,000 on good months. The New Paper reported that most, if not all, of his pubs have closed down.

They face a slew of charges such as living off immoral earnings, procuring women for prostitution and are expected to be sentenced on Monday.

Looks like they've got to ask one of their performing artists to perform a miracle to get out of trouble.
