Roy Ngerng, the blogger who is being sued by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong for defamation, announced that he has raised S$72,000 for his legal fees, merely four days after he started appealing for donations online via his website and social media.
In his interview with international news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP), Ngerng. 33. said that 1,104 people had so far contributed to his fund.
He added that "donations were mostly of small denominations, and ranged from one cent to two thousand dollars".
