A group of local, geeky musicians, known as Lorong Boys, have taken their music onto the MRT.

Consisting of "1 piano 2 violins 1 flute 1 drummer + sometimes 1 Cello", they have apparently been performing live on the streets.

The Lorong Boys are:

Rit Xu (Flute)

Loke Kai-Yuan David (Violin)

Lee Ge Biao Gabriel (Violin)

Jonathan Shin Zi Yang (Piano)

Joachim Theodore Lim (Percussion)

This is how they describe themselves:

The Lorong Boys are 5 award-winning Singaporean musicians who are equally comfortable playing on the hallowed stage of the concert hall as they are on the streets of the heartland. Consisting of Rit Xu (Flute), Jonathan Shin (Piano), Gabriel Lee and David Loke (Violins) and Joachim Lim (Percussion), this quintet was born out of deep friendship and a shared love for music. As an ensemble, Lorong Boys has a wide range of musical styles, ranging from classical music to the musical numbers of Broadway Street to today’s Top 40 Pop Charts.

And here they are performing Mozart:
