Update: Business Times changed its headline from ‘chinks’ to ‘cracks’

So, by amending it, they do admit that it was kind of insensitive.

The Business Times has amended the awkward headline of one of its stories that appeared yesterday.

 

The original article in print and online version:

The edited headline in the online version:

BT-headline-chinks

 

The word “chinks” has since replaced by the word “cracks”.

The online edition was amended after some media sites drew attention to it for its unfortunate racist undertones:
