The Cathay at Dhoby Ghaut is the safest mall in S'pore

It employs security guard with black belt in taekwondo.

The security guard who was filmed in a gongfu fight with a keychain peddler outside The Cathay last Friday has a black belt in taekwondo, his employer revealed.

This is quite rare as most other security guards wear belts to keep their pants from falling down.

Check out some of his moves:

Excellent stance there.

Took his legs out with a straightforward kick to his hind.

Oh my goodness the attacker is becoming a pinata as he is taking more hits than Google.

Known only as Mak, the security guard is known to be hardworking and takes his job very seriously, said general manager Grace Lim of Reachfield Security & Safety Management who employs him for his excellent security services.

However, the security guard has been sent for counselling following his altercation with the illegal peddler.

This is because he did not follow How To Be A Wuss Guide protocol by contacting the control room instead.

And contrary to press reports that he has resigned, the security firm has confirmed that the security guard has only been temporarily stopped from performing security duties at The Cathay as a precautionary measure because the attacker might return.

But this is for the best as the attacker would totally get his ass kicked again.
