I've always thought that the word "Sing" in "SingTel" is a sort of guarantee that it is Singapore's best telecommunications company with relatively better service standards.
Oh silly me, why would I think that.
So, here are 12 reasons SingTel makes me want to bang my head against the wall twice a day. Or all day long.
1. Internet connectivity along Farrer Park and Little India stations on the North East Line has been non-existent.

Last year this time, claims to be upgrading infrastructure. Note the word: "Upgrading".
2. Bukit Panjang facility burns down last Wednesday, crippling 60,000 customers' broadband Internet for days.
Refuses to include monetary refund as part of compensation. Instead, upgrades affected customers from 200Mbps to 300Mbps plan. For three months.
3. It saves money, so that it can be the title sponsor of the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix.
At an estimated cost of $10 million to $15 million every year.
4. MioTV looked promising by having one watchable news channel in the form of Al Jazeera English.
Cancels it.
5. SingTel Fibre BroadBand touted for its amazingly fast and smooth speed.
Switched to Fibre broadband, YouTube video buffers, overall home Internet connectivity suffers, everything takes three million years to load.
6. Sends you reminder to pay your bills when you are late and threatens you with late fee.
Doesn't thank you for paying bills in advance.
7. Puts 2GB data bundle cap when you sign up for 4G plan.
That's like buying a Ferrari and only allowed to drive 10km a day.
8. Secretly all along leasing facilities and infrastructure to rivals M1 and StarHub.
Gets found out by public only after Bukit Panjang Internet facility burns down, as M1 and StarHub services suffer from outages.
9. Bukit Panjang facility catches fire, fire suppression system does not activate.
Facility burns for 20 minutes, Singapore Civil Defence Force comes to the rescue to put out the blaze. Taxpayer-funded rescue operation.
10. No mobile Internet connectivity from time to time.
Customer still pays full price on bill. (Go around some high-rise buildings at Marina Bay Financial Centre to use your phone. If you get a signal, you should go buy 4D.)

When it is worried that you will sign up with its competitor.
12. Can share Internet infrastructure with StarHub.
