Heavy rain fell over the western parts of Singapore this morning from 8.15am to 9.30am.
According to the Public Utilities Board, the heaviest rainfall was recorded at Kent Ridge with a rainfall of 102.8mm from 8.10am to 9.40am.
There were traffic jams on the roads, with AYE and Commonwealth Avenue most affected by the flash floods.
At the AYE, the drains overflowed due to the intense rainfall and rising tide. All four lanes of AYE towards ECP were closed to traffic during the flood.
