During a dialogue session with 60 youth leaders last night, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong shared with participants how he remained positive despite unkind online comments. He added that one must not be ashamed of what one is doing and be thick-skinned.
He also said: "If you want to do something for Singapore, for the population, you should not be deterred because there are some nasty postings. When you are in the public eye, you flame me, I’m flame-proof."
Wise words from our leader.
Here are eight ways how our Prime Minister stays flame-proof:
1. Only read the good stuff online

2. Always be cool towards the younger folks
Practise fist bumping.
3. Have loyal fans
Who will take one for you.
4. Invite people over for tea
Even when they made fun of your mee siam in a podcast.

Looking unashamed with thick-skin is not enough.
