Thumbs up man.

While the whole immigration row involving a man who last week accused an immigration officer for infringing his rights is facing an uneventful death, the Singapore Police Force (on behalf of the Home Team) decided to have the last word with a peach of a video.

Titled Our Guardians, the three-minute long video released on its Facebook page earlier today (Oct 20) features various frontline jobs of the Home Team such as police officers, the Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team and immigration officers.

Fast forward to the one-minute mark and you will be greeted with a rather familiar scene involving a vigilant immigration officer and a difficult Singaporean at the checkpoint.

Deja vu.

The voiceover then plunged the knife:

"Others think that he may be demanding or difficult, I see someone who is vigilant in safeguarding our borders."

Ooh... burn.

They respond to scenes that reflect the fragility of life and despite all that, remain conscious of the need to be strong for everyone they are there for when on duty. Off duty, they are ordinary citizens with the same need for support and understanding.Stand by our guardians and keep Singapore safe with them.

Of course, knowing the public service, it is highly improbable that this is a quick riposte to Mr Know Your Rights as usually videos of such quality need the proper storyboarding and preparation.

But who knows? SPF might have timed the release of the video just to have the last word.

In other news, the video also perfectly captures the hotness of a female police officer who buys food for a violent man's family even after said man waved a knife at her hotness.
