For the first time ever, a woman fighter pilot will be flying the F-16 Fighting Falcon at this 50th National Day Parade (NDP).
Pilot Major Lee Mei Yi will be part of the “50” formation flypast, which is part of the largest and most extensive air segment in the parade’s history.

This extensive air segment also showcases the traditional State Flag flypast, the “Five Stars” Tribute flypast and a four-minute aerial flypast segment comprising 50 aircraft of various types.
Notably, the “Five Stars” Tribute aerial flypast will be executed by the RSAF Black Knights to remember the late Lee Kuan Yew.
