514 Chai Chee Lane 03-16, Singapore 469029 The Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) has clarified that the viral logic question was meant for Secondary 3 and 4 students, and provided the model answer.
Some Singaporeans, however, were adamant that August 17 could work as the answer as well.
SASMO has once again written in to Mothership.sg to clarify why Cheryl's birthday is indeed 16 Jul and not 17 Aug.
Check out their clarification in full below:
TLDR version: Your logic flow must follow the conversation between Albert and Bernard. The birthday can be 17 Aug, if only Bernard started the conversation instead of Albert.
