His late Facebook post keeps journalists working through the night.

Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen was dishing out extra duties to journalists with his latest Facebook post.

Last evening, he wrote this on Facebook, announcing that more than 200 people has signed up for the Singapore Armed Forces Volunteer Corps.

Due to the timing of his Facebook post, The Straits Times only managed to publish the story online at around 11pm and this piece of news was conspicuously missing in the print edition. Today fared much better though, releasing the story online close to 9pm and managed to print it on page 2 of their paper.

In other news, earlier today, Cyber Pioneer - being cyber and all - announced the rank structure through Facebook.

From the looks of it, the more lighting bolts you have, the more power you have to electrocute (or arrow) people.

Keeping with the army tradition very closely.

Well played.
