Have you seen the graph below? Where Singapore is number one again?

Now you have. Published on Sept. 10, 2014, it purportedly shows Singapore as the most expensive city in the Milky Way.

Is there any way to explain this away? Wrong basket of goods that is being used as a measure?

Not that many people in Singapore eat cheese anyway? Cars are expensive because public transport is better than plenty of other places on Earth? Houses are expensive but most Singaporeans own their homes?

Can we run down that list of objections again as a refresher? Comments welcomed.
