She's still pursuing music though.

Inch Chua, a Singaporean musician who penned an angsty Facebook note in 2011 about not feeling accomplished before leaving for the United States to further her music career, has come back as an author.

Her book, Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea features her writings, sketches and paintings that chronicle her journey as a self-taught musician going abroad.

The 25-year-old was approached by Los Angeles-based literary group The Altar Collective with an offer to publish her book.

To pull the project off, Chua had to sieve through "napkins of scribbles, notebooks of doodles and writings", which wasn't too difficult, the self-confessed sentimental soul admitted.

Limited copies will be available at her book-signing session on June 21, 2014, at independent bookstore BooksActually.

It will be out in the United States next month.

And about her music career, Chua can only offer this in her interview with Today: "It has been in the works for the past two years and will most likely be a work in progress for another."
