PAP Wikipedia page suffers 'vicious' edits

PAP Wikipedia page experienced 'vicious' edits, with a Wikipedia user changing the name of the party to "Party Against People" and added lines such as "down with the fascists" and "vote for Opposition" into the text.

Tampines GRC MP Baey Yam Keng told The Straits Times that the PAP first discovered the modifications yesterday morning. He urged PAP to look whether there was any legal recourse and added that legal action is something the party needed to consider.

The Straits Times noted that the PAP wikipedia edits were still live online as of 1pm, several hours after PAP discovered the "vicious edits". The PAP communications team should be more vigilant, especially when the online reputation of the party is at stake. Currently, the PAP wikipedia page is blocked by Wikipedia because there were "too much unconstructive editing".

Brown water coming out of taps in Punggol

Around 50 blocks in Punggol had brown water coming out of their taps yesterday. The Public Utilities Board (PUB) said that the water was safe to drink and that the discolouration was caused by sediments in a water pipeline that were stirred up during valve operations carried out at noon yesterday. PUB subsequently sent officers to flush the mains and also to affected residents' homes to flush their service pipes. It deployed two water tankers and provided water bags to affected households.

Reactions online to the discolored water showed that many Singaporeans would think twice before drinking the water, even after PUB had said it was safe for consumption. Some even called for the Water Resources Minister Dr Vivian Balakrishnan and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to drink the water first.
