Second beach this year

This incident is the second checkpoint breach this year.

On January 17 at about 2pm, a woman arrived at the Woodlands Checkpoint in a Malaysian-registered car and went past immigration by tailgating the car in front of her.

The officer-in-charge did not sound an alarm, until two and a half minutes later.

By that time, the woman had cruised through the secondary check area and eventually exited the checkpoint.

The woman was finally arrested for criminal trespass three days later.

By that time she had passed through the Police Cantonment Complex and intruding into the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
