In the video, which is still available on the Singapore Turf Club website, a man dressed in pink, is seen kneeling down in front of the starting gates at the start of race 10.

He was checking on the horses when the gates opened suddenly and knocked him over.

However, the commentator who was providing the voice-over for the race, did not appear the least bit bothered by it as he continued to narrate the race analysis.

The man is a staff member of trainer Leslie Khoo, according to the Singapore Turf Club's Stewards' Report. He had been attending to the horse Sky Empathy in its barrier stall.

The man is reportedly a syce who grooms and takes care of horses.

He is understood to have sustained minor injuries and has seen a doctor.

An inquiry by The Singapore Turf Club has been set up to investigate the matter.
