Mainstream media having a field day naming wrong people

AsiaOne fails big time.

On a slow news Monday, AsiaOne decided to make some of its own.

They wrote "Shanmugam" - the name of Singapore's Foreign Minister and put up a photo of Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam instead (see above picture, originally from here).

Alerted to their boo-boo by SGAG, they promptly and quietly changed the picture, pretending no one noticed, without apologising for their blunder.

This comes hot on the heels of last Friday's news where The Straits Times and Channel News Asia were in a race to see who could be the first to name the wrong person as the Little India riot hero:
