Singapore Premier League club Lion City Sailors (LCS) will face English club Tottenham Hotspur in the Tiger Cup on Jul. 26 at the National Stadium.

LCS replaced Italian club AS Roma, which were initially scheduled to face Spurs that day.

Roma's tour not going as planned

According to TEG Sport, the change in schedule happened because the Korean leg of AS Roma's tour was "not proceeding as planned".

The club has thus had to reschedule its pre-season plan.

Ticket holders with seats in the AS Roma section for the match on Jul. 26 will be automatically refunded.

Other existing Tiger Cup tickets remain valid, but Tiger Cup ticket holders can request a refund here by 12pm on Jul. 21.

Football festival at the National Stadium

LCS will join Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool FC, Leicester City FC and FC Bayern Munich in the inaugural Singapore Festival of Football at the National Stadium from Jul. 26 to Aug. 2.

On top of the Tiger Cup, the week-long festival will see Liverpool defend their Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy against Leicester on Jul. 30.

The Reds will then face Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the Singapore Trophy, presented by Audi and Standard Chartered, on Aug. 2.

Spurs and Liverpool will also hold open training sessions at the National Stadium on Jul. 25 and Jul. 29 respectively.
