A day after Singtel and M1 countered potential new entrant MyRepublic's super-low $8-per-month mobile data plans with their own initiatives, StarHub has responded with a $3-for-3GB deal to retain its customers and seek new ones.
For their postpaid customers, here are the details of what they're offering:
At the moment, they're offering this 3GB bump-up at $3 monthly for new sign-ups and recontracting customers to their five-tiered postpaid mobile plans until April 1. Folks who sign up for a new line or recontract on or after that will have to pay $6 per month for the additional 3GB data.
Sounds good to you? You can weigh these numbers against Singtel's deal, which also ups data caps for its postpaid Combo plan users. If you're keener on SIM-only plans, we'd suggest you consider the ones offered by M1 and MyRepublic, where we also compared prices of similar plans offered by Singtel and StarHub.
Boy, it's good to be a consumer today.
