Two maintenance staff were killed on Tuesday morning, March 22, on the tracks near the Pasir Ris station, says SMRT.
The transport operator said the accident took place around 11.10am.
No further details were given, except that it occurred "along the track at a servicing point near the Pasir Ris station".
In a statement, SMRT said rescuers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force were called in. They confirmed the deaths of the two maintenance staff.
