Over the past two days (Feb 15 to 16), President Barack Obama hosted Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and the other ASEAN leaders at the Sunnylands estate in California.
At a working dinner on Feb 15, PM Lee urged the United States to continue the direction it is taking in Asia and added that US continued to play important roles - security, terrorism, freedom of navigation - in the region.
This was the first time President Obama hosted the ASEAN leaders and the leaders have some private time to get to know each other better.
In fact, PM Lee's photographer caught him and Obama having some quiet time away from the rest.
We are sure that the two leaders are discussing important stuff.
Who knows, this could well be a defining photo moment, much like the story of how then PM Goh Chok Tong played midnight golf with President Bill Clinton. That chance meeting and occasion restarted our somewhat tense bilateral relations after Michael Fay and resulted in the US-Singapore Free Trade Agreement.
Below are a few things we imagine what they spoke about when they took a break, look away if you're not into satire:
Obama: So it must be great to be the highest paid Prime Minister ever.
LHL: Not as much as you made from Dreams from My Father (2006) and The Audacity of Hope (1995) (Both were on the New York Times best-sellers list for a total of 270 weeks).
