Parts of the Central Business District (CBD) and Civic District will go car-free next Sunday, Feb. 28, the first time this is happening.

This will be part of a six-month experiment held on the last Sunday of each month from February to July.

The entire route for car-less activities and pedestrians to saunter on will span approximately 4.7km, the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) said in a press release on Tuesday.

The refurbished Asian Civilisations Museum and the newly-opened National Gallery of Singapore will open their doors at 9am as part of this event.

Road closures will go on rain or shine.

Flag off and activities may be suspended only if there is torrential rain or lightning risks. Participants are advised to go prepared for all weather conditions.
