Here's something the Singaporean education system can take note of.
Fresh from defeating Australia 34-17 in the Rugby World Cup final (Nov. 1), Sonny Bill Williams, the New Zealand midfielder, was doing his victory lap around the stadium when he was approached by a 14-year-old pitch invader.
After seeing his young fan, whose name is Charlie Lines, being tackled by security, Williams helped him up to his feet and walked him back to his family.
Then he gave his championship medal to Charlie.

In one fell swoop, the 30-year-old showed the world that one shouldn't hold on to results as vindication. Along the similar lines, that can be said for our students as well: having a good report card doesn't mean anything if you don't know what it means to be human.
This was, however, not Williams only gesture of kindness.
In the All Blacks' semi final against South Africa, Williams helped his distraught opponent Jesse Kriel up to his feet.
