Radio DJ Jamie Yeo successfully laid the smack down on errant All Singapore Stuff website

Here's a tried and tested way to shut down a troll.

Gold 90.5FM radio DJ Jamie Yeo woke up this morning and found her image plastered on an article by website All Singapore Stuff, where she suddenly became the emblem of Singaporean ladies supposedly deterred from having children due to dumb policies by the ruling party.

All Singapore Stuff is largely similar to the now defunct The Real Singapore site, which used to feature carelessly unverified information and was previously run by an errorist couple, who have since been charged in court for sedition.

Not taking matters lying down, the 38-year-old took to her public Facebook page to call ASS out, not before tagging the Singapore Police Force Facebook page as well as her employer, MediaCorp, for good measure:

Whether she can make a claim for copyright infringement or harassment is beside the point: She has absolutely no association with the site, its content or even the lack of logic of the article -- given that she is a mother -- other than the fact that she qualifies as a Singaporean lady.

In response, ASS has since quietly removed the entire article from their site:

However, you can still read it via Google's cached version or here.

And just so we're clear: Yeo has previously acknowledged her support for the ruling government, where her stance on parenting matters can be derived from this Instagram post featuring her and Goh Chok Tong.

In the post, she explained how Singapore’s second prime minister took time out of his busy day running the country to reply to an email sent by her to encourage her to take the plunge and conceive:

Over a decade ago, I emailed this man and shared with him the challenges young women in Singapore faced in regards to having kids especially in our career. Singapore, I felt, didn't have air tight family friendly policies at work that protected women. He replied in a couple of days and explained that it was difficult for the government to make sweeping changes all in one go and that it was trying. He also said he knows it's tough having kids but they're so rewarding. He was right. I would give up my career in a sec for Aly but thank goodness I didn't have to as we have definitely progressed in that area. He probably doesn't even remember my email to him but even as a young adult, I learned that our government do listen to us. #gohchoktong #sg50 #esmgoh
