Workers' Party (WP) chairwoman Sylvia Lim, who has no active social media presence, has created an Instagram account.
Lim told Mothership.sg in an exclusive that she was inspired by the fake account below to set up a real Instagram account.

Lim also said that the account will be managed by herself, some friends and volunteers.
Lim is not the first WP MP on Instagram. WP parliamentarians Lee Li Lian and Gerald Giam both have Instagram accounts.
In response to Mothership.sg's query on how she intends to use Instagram, Lim replied that she was "experimenting with new ways to communicate".
Lim's first post? Trying out the fried oyster at Fengshan Hawker Centre and hash-tagging #reasons to win.
Her 1st few followers? NCMP Gerald Giam, potential WP candidates sociology professor Daniel Goh and lawyer Dennis Tan.
WP will be contesting in Fengshan SMC, after resolving a potential three-corner contest with the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), which had earlier expressed interest in the seat.
According to a Straits Times report on Aug. 2, WP had already been walking the ground.
They told ST: "We have met many Fengshan SMC residents over the last few years, to better understand the issues that they are concerned about".
