In a SEA Games basketball match earlier (June 12), a Singaporean basketball player scored an amazeball 3-pointer near the halfway line, contributing to a 65-58 win against Thailand.

Latching on to a pass, the 1.78m-tall Desmond Oh sank this peach of a shot with just seconds left on the 24-second timer.

Oh, who is the team's captain, ended the game as top scorer with 16 points. The Shooting Guard is known for his defending prowess and is nicknamed D-Glove for his ability to stick to his opponents like a glove.

Both teams went into this match undefeated in group B and with this victory, our boys will face Indonesia in the semi final, while Thailand will meet hot-favourites Philippines in the other semi.

Our boys' best SEA Games performance was in 1973, when we won a silver medal.
