The Young Lions suffered a 2-1 defeat against an energetic Myanmar, a result which got fans shaking their heads.

It was a sluggish display by the cubs, who huffed and puffed in the final 20 minutes to no avail.

Myanmar showed they were no pushovers and punished Singapore by capitalising on two mistakes by Young Lions goalkeeper Muhammad Syazwan Buhari.

Two goals. Two awesome celebrations.

Goal 1

Scrambled in by Myanmar captain Tun Nay Lin! Poor positioning there by our goalie, who appeared to be in two minds whether to go for the cross.

Celebration 1

We call this the prayer.

Goal 2

From that distance? Un-un-un-un-unbelievable. What a rocket by midfielder Ye Ko Oo! Go La Zo!

From another angle, our goalie Muhammad Syazwan Buhari should have done better. He went to ground too quickly and was punished by the bounce.

What a smile.

And Singapore's goal was a penalty scored by Faris Ramli in the 33rd minute.

And crowd favourite Irfan Fandi nearly scored the equaliser right at the end.

How we wish substitute Irfan could have more time to change the game.
