Team Singapore clinched 9 Golds today, to maintain its lead at the medal standings.
Here is the honour list of our 9 gold medalists today:
Golds 18, 19 and 20: Swimming
Our swimmers dominated Day 2 of their SEA Games campaign, winning three golds and breaking three SEA games record in the process.
Joseph Schooling led our charge by bagging his first two golds.
He broke the SEA Games record in the men's 100m freestyle, which was also a new national record.
Both Schooling and gold medalist Quah Zheng Wen then teamed up to utterly dominate their competitors in the Men's 4x200m Freestyle Relay.
By nearly 12 seconds.
And the difference between the silver medalist and the last-placed team was 11 seconds.
Tao Li added another gold for the swim team when she won the 50m butterfly. She clocked a Games record time of 26.58, ahead of team-mate Quah Ting Wen.
Gold 21: Netball
Revenge is a dish best served cold, as our netball team waited 14 years to beat bitter rivals Malaysia 46-43 for Singapore's 1st ever gold medal.
