Some six cats have been found dead at Pasir Ris Park in what looks like a case of suspected poisoning.
Facebook user Hashimah Hassan, who regularly feeds cats in the park, posted a lengthy post on Singapore Community Cats on June 20 detailing the gruesome deaths, which started on the previous Sunday when three cats stopped turning up for their daily feed.
A body was found -- which didn't bear any maul marks -- and quickly, the death toll started to pile up, forcing Hashimah and some cat lovers to trap the remaining cats, with hopes of harbouring them to safety.
Some cats, however, were not so lucky.
Some birds were affected too.
Hashimah also took photos of these fish crumbs that were not seen before.
One cat named Angel (below) was saved but the vet found her liver to be in a bad shape.

Hashimah is now seeking donations for the treatment of the cat. She added:
"I appreciate the all the sympathy that you guys have for our fallen friends. It is a very heart-wrenching experience and even though it is the holy month, I cannot help but wish for the worst for the evil in mankind. I will also appreciate it if you guys can help fund a bit for the bills. A bit shameless but, 131-35021-0 . The amount is really exorbitant. The feeders are gonna transfer her to a better and seemingly cheaper alternative. At the moment, the bill is a whopping $719."
Another Facebook user Siti Noorfadslinda Abdul Halim reported the suspected poisoning to the police.
