Update, May 17, 12.30pm: According to Channel News Asia, Terengganu football fans destroyed public property at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium as they were unhappy with referee Mohd Amirul Izwan Yaacob's decision to disallow their team's fourth goal by Ahmad Nordin Alias in the 89th minute as he was found to be offside.
Terengganu spectators were reported to have broken glass doors at the stadium and torched an ambulance. They also hurled stones at Chief Minister's Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman's car outside the stadium.
The Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) were subsequently called in and released tear gas to disperse about 15,000 rioting Terengganu fans.
A bus transporting Lions XII supporters was also damaged by several Terengganu fans.
Kuala Terengganu police chief, ACP Idris Abdul Rafar declined to comment but gave his assurance a full investigation would be carried out.

The LionsXII have qualified for the Malaysian FA Cup final for the first time after narrowly defeating Terengganu on May 16, 2015.
This despite the Singapore side losing 3-2 in the second leg of the Malaysian FA Cup semi-final match, but won on away goals rule after a narrow 2-1 victory last Saturday at Jalan Besar Stadium.
The final aggregate score was tied at 4-4.

However, the second-leg match at Kuala Terengganu was marred by two red cards for the Malaysian side.
Tensions throughout the match were running high and culminated in one Terrenganu player pushing the referee after a very late goal that would have won the two-leg semi-final on aggregate for the Malaysian side was disallowed as a player was ruled offside.
Reports coming out of Malaysia after the match indicated that Singapore fans became the target of abuse and had rocks thrown at their buses when they attempted to leave the stadium, resulting in some fans trapped at the venue.
