Jover Chew (above right), the owner of now-defunct Mobile Air, has been arrested on May 27, 2015.

The 32-year-old man was arrested with four other men aged between 31 and 38-years-old for a series of cheating cases at Sim Lim Square.

The police said several reports were lodged against Mobile Air in 2014 for dishonest sales practices.

Mobile phone customers were coerced into buying cell phones and in-house warranties at inflated prices. where they ended up paying for the mobile phones at much higher prices or had to pay fees to cancel the deal.

Chew and his shop became infamous after videos were posted last November of a crying Vietnamese tourist (above left) begging staff at the shop to refund his money.

After the video went viral, Chew's personal details were posted online, which drove him out of the mall.
