This is probably the most climactic stand-off in the history of stand-off videos in S'pore

No one blinked.

Two cars went toe-to-toe in a standoff that lasted for 90 seconds today (Dec. 29, according to the dashboard cam).

The two cars gave each other no quarter and stood there in the incessant rain, wipers raised for just about the entire duration of the video, something like this:

The driver recording the video also channeled Clint Eastwood, uttering no words during the stand-off.

There was nothing from the driver except Class 95 DJ Yasminne Cheng's voice and the rhythmic whir of the wipers.

No one blinked.

The white car didn't move an inch despite turning into the opposite lane. It merely blinked its hazard lights, signalling its non-conformity to traffic rules.

Around 30 seconds in, the driver behind the camera had enough and from the sounds of it, exited the car for a stare-down.

Reentering the car, the standoff continued and the cars waiting to turn in couldn't bear the simmering tension and promptly took their leave.

The stand-off only ended when the white car found its reverse gear.

Remarkably, no horn was abused.

The end.
