The best thing that happened at the opening ceremony of Mediacorp's spanking new 800,000 sq ft campus located at the creatively-named Stars Avenue in one-North on Dec. 8 was a skit by the cast of The Noose.

And the funniest thing?

All four Noosecasters are not managed by Mediacorp.

Alaric Tay (as Xin Hua Hua), Chua En Lai (as Pornsak Sukhumvit) and Suhaimi Yusof (Jojo Joget) are represented by Fly Entertainment, while Judee Tan (as Kim Bong Cha) was last reported to be an artiste under Fly Entertainment.

The 8-minute skit was littered with LOL jokes and poked fun at Mediacorp.

You know it's really funny when ice queen Rui En also couldn't take it.

Here are the three best jokes of the night.

1. When Pornsak said Mediacorp finally moved into the 21st century.

Minister for Communications and Information Yaacob Ibrahim nearly choked.

2. Or when Pornsak gave the most epic punchline to the talent-scouting segment: "When you need people who look good but cannot act." That's truism right there.

Ho Ching clearly loved that joke but we couldn't help but think why was Minister of State Chee Hong Tat singing?

3. And since Mediacorp is now close to Media Development Agency, which according to Jojo Joget is pronounced as "mmm dey", the radio DJs can just walk over and pay their fines.

Oh ok, guess Chee was just warming up previously. This, ladies and gentlemen, is what we call hearty laughter.
