This newscaster just gave the best How-To-React-To-ISIS's-Violence spiel

Seriously, best advice ever.

Waleed Aly, host of the Australian talk show "The Project," gave one of the best five-minute spiels, titled "ISIL is Weak", on what ISIS wants out of the attacks they made, and how everyone should not give ISIS what it wants.

Long story short: ISIS wants to use violence/hate to exploit people's fears and prejudice to create an "Us" (the persecuted) versus "Them" (the oppressors) rhetoric that would culminate in a war of "Us versus Them".

Waleed's point is that people should not give in to knee-jerk reactions — because in so doing, they unwittingly propagate ISIS's agenda and participate in hate speech or hate-fuelled behaviour.

But, of course, he puts it across way more elegantly and passionately in his speech, which should be watched again and again by everyone, especially Islamophobes, racists and conspiracy theorists:
