Just a girl, who is also an accomplished violinist, swimming fearlessly into the unknown despite her lack of sight.
Her name is Sophie Soon, 18, and she's a Team Singapore swimmer.
Just a regular visually-handicapped dude running himself to the ground and throwing himself onto the hard court so that he can excel in the game of goalball.
His name is Marc Chiang, 35, and he's a Team Singapore goalball captain.
Just another regular father who brings home the bacon and loves the rush of running against the odds despite losing his right leg after a car crashed into his bike in 2004.
His name is Lieu Teck Hua, 35, and he's a Team Singapore runner.
They are, in fact, just five ordinary ASEAN Para Games debutants doing ordinary things so that they can achieve the extraordinary at the coming 8th edition of the Games from Dec. 3 to 9.
Like the SEA Games athletes, they too have to juggle family, work and the sports they love. There's no better support than by being there when they attempt to push their bodies to the limit.
