It is judgement day for the six former and current City Harvest Church leaders.
Wednesday morning saw the team of six walk into State Courts, with their heads held high, to listen to Judicial Commissioner See Kee Oon read out his judgement on the historic case that has even caught the attention of the rest of the world, and which Singapore has followed closely, over the past three years.
According to Channel NewsAsia, an overnight queue formed outside the State Courts with roughly 100 people waiting. Court passes were issued to the first 55 in line only, though.
As the whole nation awaits the verdict (which is being read out right now), we check out what CHC founder Kong Hee was thinking about before judgement day.
On Sunday, Oct. 18:
On Monday, Oct. 19, he mentions the "5 years and 5 months" since the authorities first started investigating CHC, and reveals that the church held special prayers for him and his four comrades still with the church (former fund manager Chew Eng Han left the church in 2013):
He rallies the troops to stay strong and united:
He shows a picture of a handmade book of encouragement from some young church members:
Thank you for the handmade book of encouragement, guys! Appreciate your prayers and love! A photo posted by Kong Hee (@pskonghee) on
"If you guys are well, Sun Ho and I are too!"
A sympathy-points-scoring picture of him and his siblings:
He announces a church prayer meeting for Tuesday night, with a bible quote that alludes to Wednesday:
In what looks like the completion of his "leadership handover" process to "CHC 2.0", his wife Sun Ho is officially ordained a pastor:
A seemingly poignant note to mark what could possibly be the final day Kong and his five fellow former church leaders have as criminal record-free citizens.
