US Ambassador to S’pore Kirk Wagar said a prayer, finally tried durian

Kirk Wagar, US Ambassador to Singapore who fancies funky shoes and socks, was previously seen in a video gamely eating Bak Kut Teh last November.

Pah. Big deal, you said. It's just meat.

Well, now after two years in Singapore, Kirk and his wife, Crystal, finally mustered up the courage and tried durian for the first time at 818 Durians & Pastries. And they got the best of the lot: Mao Shan Wang.

Kirk had to say a little prayer before having a go at it though: Crystal probably appreciated it more than Kirk did, who looked like he was holding it in.
