Guards BG Tan Chuan-Jin takes 'running for elections' to a new literal level

So fit. Much tekan.

Marine Parade candidate Tan Chuan-Jin was spotted running from house to house today (Sep 2) in a 3G army way of covering ground during the hustings.

Termed by The Straits Times as a "runabout", it is basically running in a custom-made pair of running shoes and in the process, urging your volunteers to run with you.

Or at least try to keep up with the Guards Brigadier-General.

Tan wrote on Facebook that running in between units has become his most regular form of exercise.

And it's little wonder why he was sprinting in the hot midday sun. The number of electors in Marine Parade GRC stands at 146,244 and is only behind that of Pasir ris-Punggol (187,396) and Aljunied (148,142).

No time to lose.

We wait with bated breath to see if He Ting Ru (part of WP's Marine Parade slate) will lace up her shoes and start running.

In the meantime you can enjoy these gifs:

Run, Chuan-Jin, run!
