The world moaned the death of beloved Cecil the lion, a popular Zimbabwe tourist attraction, after the big cat was lured and shot by an American dentist this week.
The Minnesota dentist Walter Palmer killed the lion during a hunt he allegedly spent upwards of $50,000 to join, though Palmer has said he regrets his role in the incident as he didn’t realise Cecil was a famous lion when he killed him.
